Weekend in Borth - stories to be told......
The Club made its annual pilgrimage to Borth to take in the sea air,a game of football, excellent hospitality and vast amounts of your chosen beverage! We travelled up on Friday afternoon with the seasoned campaigners getting there early to put tents up in the dry, start drinking & laugh at Kadean,Matthew & Johnsy putting up a 12 man megatent in the pouring rain.
A good night for all of us in the Railway ( apart from Jake Mac who said goodnight about 6.30pm!!) laid the foundations for the game on Saturday.Mikey & the gang in Borth had organised a Sam Bailey Memorial Cup which our hosts deservedly won 3-2 - Barry & Johnsy getting the goals for us! Thankfully we agreed rolling subs,we just didnt expect to be rolling them off every five minutes.
The shield was presented by Mrs B to Pirate Pete and we all headed back to the Railway for some top scran & more 1664 - the young guns headed off to Aber with Danny doing his annual disappearing trick ( at least this year he didnt wake up next to a bald cross dressing wrestler ) with the older heads enjoying the hospitality of the locals at the Railway.
Another cracking weekend to thank (and apologise to) the people of Borth for and winners of the awards were:
Worst Drinker - Jake Mac
Top Swig - Carl Two Cans
Tour Reject - Barry
Dick of the day - Grant ( for the 2nd time )
Man of the Match - Matthew
Tour Legend - Leon
